Abstract
By comparing the different definitions of hero view between China and the United
States, this paper selects the Disney live action movie Mulan with Liu Yifei as the
protagonist in 2020 and the Chinese movie Hua Mulan with Zhao Wei as the
protagonist in 2009 as the contrast, and specifically analyzes the differences between
the two works and the underlying reasons for the differences. Through the study of
Disney's adaptation of Hua Mulan, we can find that the Chinese hero culture
