Abstract
Language is the carrier of culture. Different languages have different historical
significance and value. Due to the influence of customs, history, way of thinking,
religious beliefs and other cultural factors, animal words in English and Chinese are
endowed with their own cultural connotations. Animals and human beings are closely
related in life. There are animal words in daily life and communication. This paper
starts with the English and Chinese animal vocabulary, to compare
