Abstract
The theme of this paper is to study the robot assembly design using 3D and 2D vision. The long-term goal of this work is to produce a robot unit that can automatically assemble various parts (within the limits of physical tools). Achieving this goal will increase the number of feasible use cases for robot assembly and provide flexible automation solutions for industries focusing on small batch but highly versatile production.
