Abstract
The F-layer parameters NmF2 and hmF2 of the ionosphere are important for studying the
atmospheric dynamics of the ionosphere and modeling space weather forecasts. The NmF2 and
hmF2 obtained by COSMIC radio occultation technique are in general agreement with the
observations of ionosonde and incoherent scattering radar, and the maximum electron density
values and the altitude where they are located in South China are statistically analyzed in this
