Abstract
Ba Jin has created many striking female images for us. But in what context are these
women shaped? The women portrayed by Ba Jin lived under the influence of feudal
religions for a long time, and were also infected by the May 4th New Culture Movement.
Under the interweaving of Chinese and Western cultures, Ba Jin created different female
