Abstract
After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War in 1945, there was a wave of realist
films in China. In the postwar period, the two major film companies resolutely rose up,
and unanimously put their eyes on realistic films. The re-creation of realism by
filmmakers made an unprecedented development of the realism aesthetics of Chinese
