Abstract
The division of Germany between the two world wars in the 20th century left an irreparable wound in the hearts of Anselm Kiefer's generation, and left a sense of national loss and national incompleteness. The long history of Germany is reflected in Kiefer's works of art. He reflected on the whole cultural history of Germany, which is full of contradictions and conflicts, but also extremely rich and precious, and wrote its words in "lac, asphalt and oil paint".
