Abstract
Hou Xiaoxian is an outstanding director in Taiwan, and also a leading figure of
Chinese directors. He brings many excellent works to China, and also makes
outstanding contributions to the development of Chinese films. His unique Hou style is
also an example for Chinese directors to learn and is also the object of frequent
research in film academia. This paper mainly analyzes and studies the main style of his
